Dynamics GP 2018

In today’s post, we are glad to share with you some exciting news!

Last month the Microsoft Dynamics GP community gathered in Nashville for GPUG Summit. During this conference, where the best and brightest exposed the trends and current updates to Dynamics GP, it was officially announced the release date for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018 along with a plan for future releases.

On December 1st, the new version will be available with all the improved features. Also, it was mentioned that from now on new versions of GP will now be released annually in December. This new version will come from features requested by GP users and partners as there are no plans for building in large, brand new modules or functionality, only improving on the existing features.

So, what’s new with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018? First, a more comprehensive user experience, by enhancing the functionality you need in the main application, and of course major updates in the following areas:

  • Comprehensive Doc Attach
Introducing the next evolution with comprehensive Doc Attach on most master record windows, inquiry windows and transaction entry windows.
  • User Experience
Giving users easier and faster ways to get and find data they are looking for to make decisions based on the information stored in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
  • Optimize Financials & HRP
Recognizing the voice of customers and partners with the feedback they’ve sent, now Financials and HR/Payroll experience have been optimized in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018.
  • Workflow
The capabilities of Workflow have been extended. In addition to new workflows such as GL Account and Purchase Invoice, they’ve added workflow capabilities like copy step and reminder emails.
  • Power “Suite” Evolution
Support Paging and Filtering have been added to OData Services, Support OData V4 is now available and Power BI Content Pack for GP.
